My hematologist is floored by the fact that I have blood work suggestive of vwd but I report no history of nosebleeds. I just got to thinking, though, does frequently having small amounts of blood in mucus count as a ‘nosebleed?’ Because if so then I actually do have nosebleeds pretty frequently. I suppose I had always thought of nosebleeds as when blood sponteneously runs out of your nose, not just having some blood in nasal mucus. Does this sound like it would constitute a ‘nosebleed’ or would it have to be the type of bleeding where blood actually pours out of the nose?
